To keep it that way we have a series of guidelines to help make the community easier to use and better for everyone.
These guidelines govern your use of the Tripharbor.com and Tripharbour.ca (the “Site”) community (the “Community”), which is facilitated by Tripharbour Limited ("Tripharbour", “we” or “us”, and words of similar import). The Community is provided solely to assist guests in gathering and sharing cruise and travel information and is a collaboration of individuals who are passionate about cruising and who want to share their views and cruise experiences and help you, if you like, perfect, anticipate and plan your next cruise experience.
Actions in the Community must conform to our community guidelines, or the content may be removed without notice. Repeat violators will be removed from the Community and their future access may be denied without notice. Please use good judgment in your community activity, and abide by our Code of Conduct.
Community Code of Conduct:
You agree not to use the Community or the Site to:
Obtain or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Site by any means for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or other unsolicited communications;
Use the Community or the Site in any unlawful manner or in any other manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair it;
Use automated tools of any kind to collect information from or otherwise interact with the Community or the Site;
Intimidate or harass another;
Register for more than one User account with the intention of deceiving members, register for a User account on behalf of an individual other than yourself, or register for a User account on behalf of any group or entity;
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent yourself, your age or your affiliation with any person or entity;
Solicit personal information, passwords or personally identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes;
Use or attempt to use another's account, service or system without authorization from the Company, or create a false identity on the Service or the Site.
Upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available on the Site:
- any content that could be considered to be harmful, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, insensitive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, ethnically, culturally or otherwise objectionable;
- any videos other than those of a personal nature that: (i) are of you or your friends, (ii) are taken by you or your friends, or (iii) are original art or animation created by you or your friends;
- any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, solicitations, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of solicitation;
- any private information of any third party, including, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, Social Security or similar numbers and credit card numbers;
- any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
- content that would constitute, encourage or provide instructions for a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise create liability or violate any local, state, provincial, national or international law;
- content that, in the sole judgment of the Company, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Site, or which may expose the Company, its employees, directors, officers or agents or users of the Site to any harm or liability of any type.
User Content
You are solely responsible for the photos, profiles (including your name, image, and likeness), messages, notes, text, information, music, video, and other content that you upload, publish or display (hereinafter, "post") on or through the Community or the Site, or transmit to or share with other users (collectively the "User Content"). You represent, warrant and agree that your User Content will not violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other personal or proprietary rights. You may not post, transmit, or share User Content on the Site that you did not create or that you do not have permission to post. You understand and agree that Tripharbor may, but is not obligated to, review the Site and may delete or remove (without notice) any User Content in its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason, including User Content that in the sole judgment of the Company violates the Community Guidelines, or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of users or others. You are solely responsible at your sole cost and expense for creating backup copies and replacing any User Content you post or store on the Site or provide to the Company.
Forums & Posts
Please stay on topic within a forum. If you post a new topic please read the answers and acknowledge that Community members have taken the time to reply to you. Please search the forum for existing discussions regarding your topic prior to adding a new topic.
Posts will, from time to time, be removed from our forums at our sole discretion without notification to the author or discussion participants. All decisions regarding post removal are final.

Our many Community members are here to pose questions, exchange views, share cruise experiences, impart their passion for cruising and generally contribute content. Some of the contributed content may be misleading, incorrect, deceptive, or plain wrong and this may be unintentional or, in some cases, intentional. This is beyond our control and we cannot research each element for accuracy. We encourage you to consider these possibilities as you read the Community content and Community members’ comments.
You should view the Community content as a part of your cruise vacation decision-making. You should not rely on it solely or completely, and your decision should not be based only on what you learn here as we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information provided in our Community.
You are responsible for your own cruise vacation decisions. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a reader's reliance on information obtained in our Community, or in a third-party site a member may link to.
Our Community consists of many individuals who have chosen to join as well as Company employees.
Company Employees
You will see some Members identified as Company employees. The primary purpose of Company employees in the Community is to answer questions, to participate in the Community, and to keep Community forums and discussions running smoothly with politeness and good humor.
Our Company employees have experience and training with cruises and cruising, and share a passion for cruising. However, you should not rely solely on their opinions simply because they have a Company employee label.
Although we encourage our Company employees to participate in the Community, in discussions and forums, they are free to contribute, or not contribute, as they see fit and the opinions they give are their own personal views.
Advertising
Advertising is not allowed in the Community. The Company has strict guidelines prohibiting blatant third party advertising, commercial sales and solicitation posts in the Community or forums and will remove violations without warning. Further such posts may result in permanent suspension of posting privileges.
We define advertising as an individual or company's attempt to generate business or other commercial enterprise, either directly or indirectly, by using our Community. Solicitation includes, but is not limited to, requests to be e-mailed, the posting of phone numbers for a business, and the referring to or posting of one's own web site address or business information.
Other Cruise & Travel Sites
The Company reserves the right to approve or deny, links which lead directly to cruise-related material or message boards that are not located within Tripharbor. This does not mean all links will be removed, rather that they will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
We consider requests to be e-mailed for additional information as soliciting and will delete such postings by any tour operator, guide or anyone trying to sell or promote themselves on the Community. Additionally, attempts to circumvent these rules may result in you being removed from our Community without notice. Please, abide by our Community Guidelines so that legitimate recommendations by our members regarding guides and tour operators may remain part of our Community.
Removal of Negative Posts
From time to time, suppliers or a related party, contact us to request removal of negative posts about their company, products or services. Our policy is not to remove negative posts at the request of any travel supplier or related party so long as it meets the characteristics of our Community Guidelines. However we encourage the relevant supplier or related party to participate in the Community and express their point of view.
